Mr. Freddie Lee Jarrell, aged 74, departed this life on February 24, 2018 after a long illness. Born on January 21, 1944, he was the son of Leffie Lee and Neva Esther Jarrell of Whitesville, WV. He was a graduate of Trap Hill High School and a veteran of the US Army. He was proud to be a coal miner and was a member of the UMWA. He was known for his generosity toward his neighbors and a wicked sense of humor. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Leffie Emmer Jarrell. He leaves behind his loving wife, Bonnie Lou Jarrell, whom he often called the love of his life. He also leaves two daughters, Mary Ann Stiles (Malcolm) and Saundra Lynn Brooks (Lew), Jason Stover whom he regarded as his second son, eight grandchildren—Maria Anastasia Jenkins (Bryan), Lonnie Ray Bryson II, Cody Lew Brooks, Jacob Levi Brooks, Ethan Logan Brooks, Olivia Lauren Brooks, Alexandra Paige Jarrell and Jonathan Harley Jarrell. He also leaves behind three great-grandchildren Aubrey Marie Jenkins, Arthur Ryan Jenkins, and Adrian Franklin Jenkins. Armstrong Funeral Home is serving the family.
